Who Are We?

Best Boy Productions is Brian Andrews and Tom Klarner. We produce television programs, such as the Live At Best Checks series, (click here to see our program schedules and channels) as well as multi-track audio recordings of musical performers and groups. Other television projects are currently under development and we are always looking for talented musicians and groups to feature in upcoming shows.

We have access to unique warehouse studio space and equipment which allows us to produce our television shows and events in a comfortable, friendly, and relaxed environment, without the time and cost constraints usually associated with booking blocks of time in a commercial television or recording studio environment. We record all audio on multi-track recorders to facilitate re-mixing the performance to produce CD-quality sound. We also encourage the participation of a studio audience.

Being actively involved in the local performing arts and film community, we have also provided audio and video recording assistance to a number of theatrical companies, independent film producers, and other producers of local cable access television programs.

Our interests today are focused on producing high-quality, entertaining 30-minute to 60-minute television programs of musical performances. From Opera to Folk to Jazz and Blues to Rock and Punk to New Age, we are interested in showcasing highly talented and entertaining performers. A typical day's shoot produces a television show, aired on various local cable systems, plus the production of a DVD of the performance. Also, in development, is our new late-night "talk show" aptly named Hot Tub Confessions. We're completing construction of the set, including the 8-person hot tub and bar, and are now actively recruiting and auditioning talent for the host/hostess role and nightly guests. What does all of this cost?

Nothing. Best Boy Productions is a loosely affiliated philanthropic and educational activity of Best Checks, Inc. (we work there) and is a hobby for Brian and Tom. We do not charge for our services. This means that we are very selective in the types of projects and performers we commit to. All we ask is to have our names put on the "guest/comp/VIP list" when your group performs at a commercial venue. After all, it's all about the booze, it's all about having fun.
